By using ToolDecker (the "Site") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
1. Content nature (AI disclaimer)
- Tool descriptions, comparisons, and FAQ on the Site are partially AI-generated or AI-assisted.
- We do our best to verify, but AI output may be stale, inaccurate, or hallucinated.
- Verify pricing, availability, and terms on the tool's official site before making paid decisions.
- We do not provide investment, medical, legal, or professional advice.
2. Affiliate disclosure (FTC § 16 CFR 255)
- Some outbound links are affiliate links. When you sign up or purchase a listed tool through them, we may earn a commission.
- Affiliate relationships do NOT influence which tools we list, how we rank them, or how we describe them. Algorithm inputs are listed at /trust.
- We refuse paid submissions, paid ranking boosts, and paid edits to descriptions. We publish a monthly log of refusals.
- Per-tool disclosure appears at the bottom of each detail page.
3. DMCA / copyright complaints
- Believe the Site infringes your copyright? Email dmca@tooldecker.com with: (a) the work, (b) infringing URL, (c) your contact info, (d) good-faith statement, (e) signature.
- Our SLA: respond within 48h, remove validated requests within 7 days.
- Bad-faith / fraudulent DMCA notices are logged and may be referred to law enforcement.
4. User-submitted content
- By submitting a tool, you represent that you have the right to do so.
- You grant ToolDecker a non-exclusive license to display, translate, and AI-summarize the submission.
- We may decline, remove, or modify any submission without notice.
- Forbidden: links containing malware, illegal services, deepfakes, child-inappropriate content.
5. Accounts & login
- Login via OAuth (Google / GitHub), Magic Link email, or SMS OTP (CN region).
- We don't store your third-party passwords; OAuth only exchanges signed tokens.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. If compromised, email hello@tooldecker.com immediately.
6. Restrictions
- No automated scraping, brute-force, SSRF / XSS / SQL injection attempts, or rate-limit bypasses.
- We apply indexing-friendly robots policies for pages, JSON-LD, and llms.txt; commercial crawlers (MJ12, Ahrefs etc.) are blocked — see /robots.txt.
- LLM training crawlers (Claude-Web, GPTBot etc.) are allowed by default — see /robots.txt.
7. Disclaimer
- The Site is provided AS IS, without warranty of availability, accuracy, or fitness for purpose.
- We are not liable for losses arising from using the Site or any listed tool.
- Disputes are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR.
8. Changes
- We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the homepage for 7 days.
- Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
